President
Hi! My name is Garon Mulyk, and I'm the president of SUSA this year. I'm currently in my fourth year of a major in Sociology and working towards the Certificate in applied Social Sciences Research. I'm planning to attend either graduate school or law school or both after graduation. My favorite thing about sociology is learning the intricacies of our society. I am excited to work with all the sociology students this year to find a pace that works with everyone! This year has been challenging for many people, and having a student club dedicated to working for their students is essential. I'm very proud of all the executives who are willing to sacrifice hours of their time to make sure SUSA and other critical student clubs remain operational this year.

Hey everyone! My name is Kulsoom and I am currently in the 4th (and hopefully final) year of my BA in Sociology and Psychology. I am also working towards the Certificate in Applied Social Science Research. Most of my free time is spent entertaining my 6 budgies 🦜 . This year, I have had the pleasure of serving as VP External for SUSA and my goal is to operate as a bridge between students, our team, and the University. I think there is a lot of value in student groups. They can function as a platform for like-minded students to voice their concerns. Student groups are also great if you’re looking for some extracurricular involvement on campus! I recognize that we are currently facing unprecedented changes and there is some uncertainty surrounding how they will impact the activities SUSA has planned for you. However, I urge you all to stay connected with us and be on the lookout for updates regarding future events and initiatives!

Hi everyone! I'm Hank, a third-year undergraduate student majoring in sociology and psychology. My interest revolves around social theories regarding the cycle of poverty (and don't forget about the super-rich). My vision as the VP Internal is to facilitate passion and understanding both within the team and for every sociology student.

Hello everyone! My name is Kaitlin and I have the pleasure of serving as VP media this year for the SUSA exec team! I am currently in my fourth year double majoring in Sociology and Psychology. I love studying sociology as it challenges you to question our society and how you interact with the structures within it. This year, our goal is to curate the same sense of community for sociology students both on, and off campus. Hello! My name is Christian and I am currently the VP Social Media for the SUSA exec team! I am in my fourth year of my BA in Sociology with a minor in Human Geography. I believe studying and learning sociology allows you to understand the phenomena of society and see it in a different lens. My sociological interests are inequality, surveillance/privacy, and qualitative social research. This year, our goal as a student group is to increase engagement and awareness within and outside of sociology. I believe social media and its tools of engagement and awareness create connection, resilience, and community. VP Academics and Mentorship
Hey everyone, I’m Jewel Chidiebere and I’m in my first year of my BA in Psychology and Sociology. I’m also hoping for grad school but that is still a ways away for me. I’m obsessed with anything pop music-related, Jurassic Park, manga, socio-psychological research, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I am super excited to carry out my role as new VP of Academics and Mentorship and looking forward to reading what the bright minds of the sociology undergrad have to offer! Mostly research and the ability to explore functions intimate to us all. No matter what you’re interested in there’s always something for you in sociology. I haven’t been here long but so far my favourite class has been ENGL 103 (English In Research Studies). I loved the course material and the exploration of Contemporary Canadian Poetry

VP Volunteer
Hi everyone! My name is Fallon and I’m currently in the 3rd year of my BA in Sociology. I’m hoping to go to law school once I graduate next year. I have a bit of an obsession with puzzles and sudoku, anything that gets me thinking, and am a huge Star Wars nerd. I am really hoping to help make some impactful changes and contribute to my education, as well as my community through SUSA as the VP Volunteer. My favourite thing about sociology is the diversity of the subject; there are so many different subfields of sociology, so there is always something new to learn! I specifically enjoy youth crime and law and am hoping that with my degree I can help youth in the future. My favourite class I've taken is either SOC 225 (Criminology) or SOC 327 (Criminal Justice Admin. In Canada) because my profs were excellent and the subjects were super interesting!
